Product Owners - Delivering Business Outcomes with AI
Delivering value is more than following a set of requirements or a process. It's about engaging customers, discovering their needs and sequencing work to optimize outcomes rather than just outputs. Product Owners are central to maximizing the flow of value produced by the product delivery teams. Not just in person, but even when the whole team is online and virtual.
This course covers everything the Scrum Alliance requires for your CSPO certification. Product vision, stakeholder management, backlog refinement, release planning, the full curriculum. Over four sessions, you'll move from customer discovery to validated opportunity to working prototype on a shared visual canvas where each stage feeds the next. You'll generate PRDs, technical requirements, prototypes, and a stakeholder deck as you go. Not as homework. During class, as a natural byproduct of doing the work. You'll leave certified. You'll also leave with artifacts you built and a repeatable workflow you can bring back to your team the following week.
If you're ready to learn how to deliver value with Scrum in a fun and engaging way via pragmatic techniques you can apply immediately, this course is for you. From deep study of brain science and adult learning, we've learned what it takes to be effective in a virtual environment and avoid "Zoom fatigue."
Learn the Nuts & Bolts of Great Product Ownership
A truly powerful Product Owner skillset includes the ability to:
- Facilitate and negotiate with stakeholders (even the difficult ones!).
- Translate customer needs into actionable requirements in the product backlog.
- Support development teams through planning, development, and release cycles.
- Ensure frequent feedback loops between teams and stakeholders.
- Manage expectations from product vision to release.
You'll start with real inputs: customer research, competitive analysis, regulatory constraints, and company context. An AI-powered workflow connects those inputs to a series of artifacts where each stage feeds the next. You review what the AI generates, make product decisions, adjust mid-flow, and watch your changes cascade through downstream outputs. That feedback loop, where you iterate on a PRD and see the prototype update in response, is where the real learning happens.
By the end of four sessions, you will have:
- Practiced customer discovery and opportunity validation using real data, not hypothetical scenarios
- Written and refined a product requirements document shaped by your decisions
- Generated multiple interactive prototypes you can preview and compare side by side
- Practiced customer discovery and opportunity validation using real input, not hypothetical scenarios
- Practiced customer discovery and opportunity validation using real data, not hypothetical scenarios
- Covered the full Scrum Alliance CSPO curriculum: product vision, backlog management, refinement, user stories, acceptance criteria, release planning, and the Product Owner's role within Scrum

FAQ
- How soon can I get my CSPO® certification? On completing your participation in the full workshop, we will let the Scrum Alliance know of your successful completion of the course. You'll receive an email from them to setup your profile on the Scrum Alliance website and then you'll be a bonafide, official CSPO®!
- Wait! Don't I Need to Take an Exam to be Certified as a CSPO®? No. Currently the only requirement to become a CSPO® is the successful completion of the course. The Scrum Alliance is hard at work to develop an online exam for the CSPO®. So if you love taking tests, wait a bit to enroll in a CSPO® workshop. Otherwise - get it now with us!
- Can I Miss Several Hours of the Workshop and Still be Certified? No. If you miss more than 15 minutes of the workshop, you will not be eligible for certification, and you will be welcome to attend the rest of the workshop. Don't worry - if something big comes up, we'll move you to a future workshop at no cost.
- What do I need to bring to class? You'll need a computer with microphone, camera & speakers. Use [https://fast.com](https://fast.com/) to test your internet connection. After the download numbers stop, use the "more" option to calculate your upload speed. You'll need 5 down / 1 up - and more is better. Now, while in class, you'll be actively using your computer to participate in exercises, so plan to peek at your email only during a break or at lunchtime.
